Jakarta, CNN Indonesia - Vice Governor of DKI Jakarta Sandiaga Uno insists on involving thugs in preparing Tanah Abang Market, Central Jakarta. For him, thug advice could have a positive impact.
Cipher level, thugs already understand the intricacies of Tanah Abang. Their suggestions or suggestions can be useful for organizing the area.
"It means, we ensure their position, so their input can be accommodated to set Tanah Abang," said Sandiaga at City Hall, Monday (6/11).
Such a move has not been done by the previous Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta, either under the leadership of Joko Widodo or Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok. In Jokowi's day, arrangements were made by moving merchants who were buying and selling on streets and sidewalks to Block G.
Sandiaga was reluctant to respond to the findings of the Indonesian Ombudsman called thugs who helped the wild launchers.
"Precisely they (thugs) part of the ecosystem, we have to think how to get out of the informal sector to the formal sector because this is our duty as city administration," said Sandi.
Based on the findings of Indonesian Ombudsman, Tanah Abang thugs play a role in ensuring the sustainability of Tanah Abang street vendors. One way, let me know if there is a control. For his services, local thugs receive some money from street vendors.
The allegations were obtained from the investigation on 9-10 August 2017 at six different locations. From the results of these investigations also found the relationship between Satpol PP with social organizations (mass organization) in protecting street vendors who sell in forbidden locations.
