Jakarta, CNN Indonesia - Gonjang-ganjing new regulations on taxis online just did not dampen the action of mutual embrace between conventional taxi companies and transport companies based applications. This can be seen from the cooperation between Blue Bird with Gojek and Uber with Express.

Uber has just announced their collaboration with an Express taxi that will continue permanently. Cooperation was actually established since December 2016 and in the form of a pilot program.

The form of Express collaboration with Uber is no different from the cooperation of Uber with their other driver's partner. Through the cooperation, the Express taxi fleet can be ordered through Uber application, with the pricing system applied by Uber so that it is claimed to be cheaper than their normal rates.

"This rider education to be better understood if paired with Express Taxi and this is a continuation of the pilot process this December-March," I Dian Safitri, Head of Communications Uber Indonesia via short message to CNNIndoesia.com, Thursday (30/3).Beyond those two things, the Express fleet booked through Uber application, in particular UberX service, will be subject to the same terms as the dynamic rate, driver rating system, and applicable cancellation fees after the order has lasted five minutes.

In short, the Express fleet is transformed into UberX parts as it is in general. The fundamental difference lies in tariffs that use Uber application calculations that are cheaper than Express fares in their argometer.

Similar affection is also visible from Blue Bird and Gojek. Although it was hostile when the conflict broke out between conventional taxi drivers and online transport, in fact the largest taxi company is engrossed menggjek gojek.

First announced in May 2016, the realization of both new cooperation materialized in February 2017. Form of cooperation both can be found in GoCar services. The way it works is similar to Uber-Express, the Blue Bird fleet is an additional vehicle in the GoCar service.

The two collaborations above confirm the position of conventional taxi firms that actually require innovation technologies such as those offered by Gojek, Uber, and Grab. Low rates and practical reservations offered by application-based companies are two things that make regular taxi increasingly marginalized.

While on the application company side, cooperation with conventional taxi is certainly beneficial from the number of fleets. The availability of more vehicles is their dream to want to reach customers as much as possible.
